With roots in the group Blyss (later spelled "Bliss"), Malibu based Alternative rock band Lifehouse debuted their first studio album in 2000, and the hugely successful "Hanging by a Moment" was their first commercially produced single.
Lifehouse like most other bands has gone through changes over the years, but the essence of the Lifehouse sound is based on reaching into people's hearts, allowing them to identify with the ups and downs of the real world but yet never feeling lost or hopeless.
A number of Lifehouse songs have been featured on hit TV shows including Smallville, One Tree Hill, Grey's Anatomy, and MTV’s The Hills among others.
